What it's for?

Sight tubes are essential for compliance with USC 10th edition standards for the backflow field testing of a Double Check Valve Assembly. Allowing testers to visually confirm water quality, leaking shut off valve #1, holding capacity of the 1st and 2nd check valves, and shut off valves of a DCVA.

Why food grade?

Backflow assemblies protect potable water supplies. Using food-grade material on the sight tube means it's safe wherever the water it touches will end up downstream.

About the 90° attachment

Test cocks may be positioned where a straight sight tube hose, or bleed valve can't reach. The 90° attachment recirects the flow path so you can test with ease.
